Eva da Costa was born in Rio De Janerio, Brazil to Pedro and Beatriz on April 4, 1981. Eva's parents were socialites and perhaps they were into the wrong things in the 80s - but at that point everyone was. But due to their social standing and the fact that they were rich, little Eva never wanted for anything. She was given the chance to do whatever she wanted - and Eva wanted to be a businesswoman. While she admired her mother for being a model, she didn't want to be someone who only got by on her looks. She wanted to prove that she was beauty and brains, and she would do anything to prove that. Of course, a young girl's dreams don't always come true, and at the the young age of 15, Eva was shoved into the modeling world after being discovered on a beach with her parents. (She'd find out later that she wasn't discovered, but her mother had sent a modeling agency to talk to Eva on the beach. It would be one of many little white lies Eva was told as a kid.)
After being discovered in 1996, Eva's life changed forever. She continued her schooling, getting the best education that money could buy, all while her mother got frustrated that Eva would want to waste her beauty and her modeling by getting a good education. Eva told her mother the only way that she would continue to model and live out her mother's own dream was that she be allowed to pursue her own, and finally her mother agreed. After a while, modeling in Brazil was only giving so much of a paycheck and an excitement, and Eva was actually starting to enjoy things. Soon, her modeling agency mentioned jobs available in America, and without a second thought, Eva took it.
She managed to get into America in 2001, and started to look around for colleges to give her a business degree, so that she could still keep her own dream alive of owning a business. The more she modeled, the more she understood the ins and outs of the modeling and entertainment business, so it seemed natural for her to want to get into that business as well. She already had a recognizable face, and in America she was viewed as exotic and mysterious (despite the fact that she though she was the biggest dork that lived on Earth), and she was getting new contracts left and right. In 2002, she applied for and surprisingly got into Harvard, and soon found herself moving to Boston to try to attend as many classes as she could in person while keeping her modeling job.
By the time she had gotten her business degree, the idea of opening a modeling agency of her own was becoming more and more of the ideal dream. It combined the new love of modeling that she finally could admit to having, and the old dream of wanting to own a business. After meeting with another model who seemed to be in a similar career path, the two became fast friends and decided to go into business together. Once her business partner graduated, Eva found herself with a shiny new modeling agency based right in Boston, deciding that it was time that Boston was made an international city -- New York couldn't have all the fun.
While Eva still makes trips to Brazil to see family, and still travels around the world due to her modeling and the business that she now runs, Eva is finding herself happy to be settling down in Boston. It's not at all the place she expected, and she always wants to run the first sign of snow, but she's getting used to it. All in all, it doesn't seem like such a bad place to be after all.
